Foreign Investors

Is commercial property suitable for a foreign investor?

Answer

Yes, but the language changes. Shops and offices are judged by street, rent multiple, licensing and vacancy. For citizenship, a commercial unit can qualify if it has the right title deed type — unlike farmland or vacant plots. A property-based residence permit, however, requires a dwelling; commercial premises generally do not qualify for this type of residence.

An investor from the Netherlands should not confuse the business with the title deed. In Turkey you usually buy the property title, and the business is run separately.

İnterkon Realty Group does not put commercial units in the residential showcase.
