Foreign Investors

Are neighbourhoods with student and working tenants suitable for foreign investors?

Answer

They can be. Tenant turnover is high, and so are wear and tear and vacancy. A simple unfurnished apartment is easier to manage than an over-the-top luxury villa.

The area around a campus can be read much like the student rental market in the Netherlands. Service charge and furniture policies should be written down from the start.

İnterkon Realty Group does not dress this segment up as “easy rent”; it puts an allowance for wear and re-letting into the table.
