Which documents do I need at the land registry office?
Answer
The minimum set: passport, tax identification number, DAB (Foreign Exchange Purchase Certificate), title deed fee and revolving fund fee, DASK (compulsory earthquake insurance) and, if applicable, a power of attorney. From 1 October 2026 a Secure Payment System reference is added. For a citizenship file, the TTB/valuation confirmation, the bank transfer receipt to the seller and the 3-year no-sale annotation are added.
A buyer from Sweden expects everything to be digital. In Turkey the land registry appointment is digital, but the consular or apostille route for documents still exists. In practice, an interpreter is present for a party who does not speak Turkish.
