Do I need to live in Turkey to buy property?

Answer

No. You can buy on a tourist entry or from abroad through a power of attorney. A residence permit is not a condition of the title deed; in some cases the title deed can be a condition of a residence permit.

Investors from Denmark often make a short trip to view properties and complete the actual signing through a power of attorney issued at a Turkish consulate. What is required is not physical residence but identification, a tax number, a DAB (Foreign Exchange Purchase Certificate) and a clean payment chain.

İnterkon Realty Group sets up a remote viewing protocol, photo reports and a power-of-attorney timeline. An office that does not mix promises about residence and promises about the title deed in the same sentence is more trustworthy.
